AmCham Black Tie Anniversary Gala
Friday, November 11, 2016  AmCham hosted a Black Tie Anniversary Gala on November 11 for 270 guests at Rooms Hotel New Ballroom. In addition to AmCham membership, notable guests included Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumishvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Janelidze and the former business ombudsman, Giorgi Gakharia the US Ambassador as well as the Ambassadors of Turkey, the Netherlands and Italy as well as the head of EBRD, Bruno Balvanera and many other senior members of government and the international community.
Guests were welcomed by AmCham Executive Director, George Welton. AmCham President Williamson presented the US Ambassador, Ian C. Kelly with a title of Honorary President of AmCham. The Ambassador then offered a few words thanking AmCham for its good work over the years. Ms Williamson made a short overview of the Chamber's achievements and gracefully thanked AmCham's friends and partners for supporting the organization in its endeavors. Finally, AmCham Vice Presidents, R. Michael Cowgill and Irakli Baidashvili with the Board of Directors recognized Sarah Williamson for her tireless efforts and massive role in shaping the Georgian business climate.
Guests enjoyed cocktails, delicious dinner, and a special wine collection from Rooms Hotel, as well as a string quartet, jazz band and rock and roll band on a warm Autumn evening.
