American Chamber of Commerce Elects New President, Officers and Board
Friday, November 20, 2020 The American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia is pleased to announce the election of a new Board of Directors, including Sarah Williamson, Senior Vice President & co-owner, UGT Group, as the new President.
Sarah Williamson says, 'I am very proud and excited to be elected again as President of AmCham Georgia. AmCham is the leading international business association in Georgia because we have worked consistently to support our members, encourage the development and Westernization of the Georgian business environment and help maintain Georgia's ever-important transatlantic relationship.
Our membership and Georgia generally face so many challenges at the current time, so AmCham's work is more important than ever. Over the coming months we will be particularly focused to support our membership and work with the government to ensure the fastest economic recovery possible. Georgia remains a fantastic place to do business. I have been in Georgia for 23 years and still see great opportunities and potential for the future. The challenges ahead will be considerable, but I am sure that if we all pull together, we can do fantastic things in the coming years.
Other officers elected along with Ms Williamson were Irakli Baidashvili, GMT Group, who was elected as First-Vice President and Micheal Cowgill, Georgian American University, as Vice President/Treasurer.
The rest of the board elected were, Radoslav Dudolenski, CrossCountry Georgia, Colin Donohue, Optimal Digital (& Startup Grind), Otar Kipshidze, Dentons Georgia, Sergi Kobakhidze, PwC Georgia, Jordi Kuijt, Radisson, Ketti Kvartskhava, BLC Law, Sandro Shelia, Conformity Assessment International, George Tkhelidze, TBC Bank.
Betsy Haskell also rejoined the board as ex-officio advisor.
